kinda lucky

 I have been taking lots of walks lately and i have been always finding myself back to the golden gate bridge. pretty awesome to see this view.

 

the exploratorium is the lit up building in the distance. it gets dark so quick, i cant wait til i dont have to talk walks at night, it gets kinda creepy. and also i enjoy seeing the sun actually set rather then just the tail end if it. just sayin.

These are the tulips that i was so pumped about... and rightfully so! they turned out great! The pics were taking quite a number of days ago, maybe 5 days or a week ago. they dont hold up so great, but they look beautiful while they bloom.

 

the above flower was the first one to bloom and had lasted the longest. makes me wonder if different bulbs are more resilient to water log. these poor bulbs have been through the ordeal, they were outside when we got a really heavy rain, the next day when i remembered they were out there, they were floating in water... oops.

 this was the second and final bloom. sad. there are two more blubs in there that are just half way grown. perhaps they will come to and give me a fabulous flower....

Ha!

So since I have been out and about so much, i have been trying to take mia up to my parents house to chill while i am gone. she loves being up at my parents, but HATES the car ride. however she is getting better with each car ride.

So, as previously said Sam and I went to Squaw Valley a few weekends ago, however a felt a few things were just not captured, as I felt they should be... AKA I got a new camera and its bitchin! I love the below shot of this patch of nice ass snow right below the condo...

some delish wine i had saved for quite a while... thought the big vday celebration was occasion enough. hahah jk. but really, i would love a glass of this right now.

more ski dreams

Sam and I went up to Tahoe last weekend and it was fantastic! Got two great days of skiing in, beautiful weather, good snow, and great food. :)

top o the mountain at sqaw... prestine day!! it was a little crowded on sunday, but we had a great time and enjoyed the snow.... I havent been to squaw in quite some time and i have to say my favorite part of the day was when we were getting off the lift and an older couple that were gearing up next to us were taking long drags off of small silver flask... awesome!

Mikey just sent me this photo of the fam out at korean bbq last weekend. I love that i am stuffing my face completely oblivious to any photo taking... I think that means the food is amazing!

the growth

well well well... look at this! we have some growth! when I picked these bulbs from the nursery I just grabbed a whole bunch of different ones and had no idea what was which after dropping them into the bag. so, the next one to bloom will not be the same... kinda exciting...

i brought my umbrella to a day like this

This weekend was full of sports, entertainment and awesome peeps. Saturday I went to Sam's rugby game. They won! WoOT! It was a beautiful day and guess who brought their umbrella. yep, me. sooo.. now I am just led to belive that if I bring my umbrella it turns out to be a nice day/night and when I dont bring an umbrella it rains. wtf?

 

my parentals and mikey came down to see the rugby game. my pops and mikey showed up to the game in the old boys rugby jerseys sam had left over from the usf rugby game. talk about living vicarousl... after the game we had drinks at danny coyle's and then dinner at brothers bbq. DELISH! 

  

these two clowns thought they should have subbed in the match and were rather upset they didnt get a chance. HA! it was a perfect day to partake in these festivities... ahhhhh.....

My new favorite

Holy crap, this is my new favorite place ever: Butter. How rad is a place that serves 40's in paper bags? I mean come on! How fantastic is that? Sam and I went there to celebrate Kevin's birthday, which was an S&M theme.... ccclllllaaaasssssyyyyy. And speaking of classy:

 

I will quote: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

The birthday cake (made by Kevin's Sister), a brewskie, and popcorn that Sam and I could not keep our hands out of. Its very simple for me, give me free popcorn and I will love you for life. I have come to relize this is one of the ways I decide I like bar or not. Is that bad???

This needs to happen at some point

How rad would it be if you could grow your own garlic? I mean really, they are just like growing bulbs right? Has anyone tried it? I need more tips than just this...

Speaking of planting seeds... I would say its almost time for me to put together my planter of chives, rosemary, and oregano. But, in the mean time I have these tulip bulbs that I am counting on to grow. I might have put them in the container a little early so I am unsure if they are going to grow and actually give me flowers.

 

Only time will tell...
