Did I Tell You I Love Pears?

Pretty sure I have told one amazing someone several times and guess what...

 

A Covington Pear Candle. Is there really such a pear in real life? Because I have never seen that variety... But, that is neither here nor there, because this candle is bombtastic! Its perfect timing because I used my other candle so much that its almost gone now.

A Struggle

So I am an obsessive hand washer and this causes me to have the driest hands ever. I struggle with the dilemma of having super dry ichy hands or oily gross lotion-y fingers. A few years back an ex-bf's mom gave me a small container of Shea Butter from l'Occitane. I proceeded to stuff it away in some box that has my cosmetics in it because I had never used the crap before. Since I have recently moved, I went through that box and low and behold I find this damn Shea Butter. I proceed to look up how to use the stuff since its a solid... I had no idea this shiz would change my life so much!

I no longer have to walk around with dry ass, pasty hands anymore! Yahhhhh for me! 2010 is looking like a pretty good year so far, no dry hands, new place, new job, big trips and lots of love! WoOt!

Cheese and Eggs, You know Cheesey Eggs?!

I made three chocolate chip cookies for Tara Lee's Birthday party tomorrow night. Tara's one favorite thing in world is cheese, so I only thought it appropriate to bring cheese to her party. But, she so kindly announced that she was creating THE platter of delicious cheese, therefore we didn't need to bring any.... So I thought I would make cookies for her.... something to offset the saltyness of the cheeseyness.... hehe...

I am excited to visit Tara for her birthday... seems like yesterday we were tearing it up in Vegas for her birthday and celebrating at 3AM with a fat plate of cheesey eggs!

I was just going through my Christmas day pictures and saw this and immediately had to to say something about it. holy shiz, I forgot (aka intoxicated) that we made these, Mom found the recipe in one of her old cook books and she had to make them. They are peeled and cored apples coated in brown sugar, cinnamon and butter with a pineapple slice in the middle. Yep, AMAZING.

Ski Dreams

All of this rain is only making me more and more excited about skiing in Tahoe. Namely Alpine Meadows. Hot damn, that place is freaking awesome. There is nothing like getting on the mountain early, getting on a lift and looking out at a beautiful mountain with fresh powder.....................   ....  .. . . . .. .. ohhh dahh sorry I started drifting off to my ski dreams.

SURPRISE!

Holy Shiz! Look who it is!!! Surprises biotches!!!

We had a delicious surprise dinner at le Colonial followed with more bevos and dancing. So pretty much the regular when it comes to chillin with Ash.

night two was off and on rain. but alas, every time I was outside, an umbrella was not necessary. So thanks to Sam for making me bring the damn thing. But I do seem to bring an umbrella when its not rainy at all and then to not bring one when it is really stormy and down pouring. I need to work on that...

 

I had such a great weekend full of amazing friends, great food, and great bevos... thanks to sam and ashley for the surprises, I feel really lucky to have such rad ass friends. :)

So I know I said that orchids can be bastards. But I take it back. This guy has been freaking out and doing really really well since the move. Kinda surprised.

I think it has 4 stems that are blooming. So proud!!! hah!

Pear Candles to be exact. Actually, I love anything pear. I had a credit from Rue la la and was somewhat sad to relize the only thing I could really justify was a pear candle. However, this sucker does not disapoint!! It smells amaze-balls!!!

For me the party of the year is now the Salesforce.com Holiday Party. Yep, I said it. This year they had Kool and the Gang perform, a Michael Jackson Tribute band...

...break dancers, awesome food... oh and could you tell the theme was 80's? They always have the coolest centerpieces and stuff.
