the other garden
when i moved out of my place back in january i had to take my indoor plants and orchids to sam's house for safe keeping... well they are still there and are being held hostage. they are doing wonderfully, sam has quite the green thumb. :) its kinda like having a whole other garden. kinda awesome.
I desperately need to re-pot the fellow on the left... but cant find a suitable violet pot for it. this window has pretty decent light all day, it took a while for the orchid bloom but finally made it there:
on the left we have the mini violet, and i suppose the regular size violet on the right. my next step is to get my mom to start me a fuchsia.. i just got a new pot from ross. (pretty much the best place to get pottery ever!)

world cup breaky
amazeballs breakfast was made for world cup final. pancakes, eggs, bacon, watermelon and oj.
I know this post is a bit late. but shoot, i am still in world cup fever mode, kinda sad that its already over! p.s.GO SPAIN!
selling happiness
i hit up Flowercraft a few weeks back with Chandra and Ashley. the sign in front of the store said they sold happiness, and happiness is exactly what they sold me. I ended up purchasing a few things I for sure didnt plan on, but isn't that the point of browsing the nursery anyways??
I ended up getting a cherry tomato plant, a variety of lettuce and a lemon cucumber plant (the little fellow in the small pot up front). I had never heard of a lemon cucumber, but apparently they are delish and amazing in salad, which is perfect because i seem to have a perfect little salad coming together here....
I think this was taken a few days after i planted it. i lost the second one in line, but the others are doing quite well right now. so proud!
I am going to have to replant this guy when he gets a little bit bigger, but for now he is propped up with a chop stick and hair clip. happiness was for sure bought and it is awesome!

chillin
lately i have been able to have had the pleasure of chillin up on the deck. the other day my roomie brought up some vino and it was such a beautiful day.. i feel very lucky.
this is my view. too bad its been foggy and gross at my place lately.. or i would be up there every afternoon.
ohhh yes vino and a view. yes please. then mia was feeling a little lonely (being a hube b.) i took her up there and hung out and brushed her. she loved it!
i had to really keep an eye on her, she is so curious... i need a leash or something to hold her down.
my bad
so i know its been a while, my bad. been kinda busy... however let me bring you up to speed. been going out in the city, making some goodness and strait chillin along the way. first up, mikey and my dad came down to help me move, after we had a delish dinner at Hard Knox.
after that goodness i thought it would be a good time to hit up something truly san francisco style, the pride festival. interesting atmosphere ensued...
lets see.. i feel that this needed more elaboration from my last post, the haight street fair. have to love the crazy variety of people that attend. i came really really close to buying one of these, and am now kinda mad i didnt get it. ehh theres always a next time!
no idea on where i found this while on a walk, but i am constantly impressed at some people's inventiveness in planters. i for sure have some planter envy on this one... talk about green!
next up i decided to make a mixed berry pie. mixed berry as in strawberry, blueberry and raspberry. Ah. Ma. Zing. found a few secret ingredients in this one. note to self on cornstarch, makes everything stick together. i guess i dont know enough about baking, but that was a huge revelation to me. haha.
had a rough time with the lattice top, i overworked the dough a bit, but turned out delish nonetheless. homemade is the bestest.
